Molly Weisberg is a trumpet player, arts professional, and graduate student based in New York City. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, where she also studied entrepreneurship through the Ross School of Business She is currently pursuing her Master of Music at New York University, continuing to develop as both a performer and a well-rounded professional in the music industry.
Throughout her undergraduate career, Molly gained experience performing in a variety of orchestral, wind, chamber, and theatrical settings. Her musical interests include orchestral performance, chamber music, and Broadway and pit orchestra playing. One of her most memorable experiences was performing alongside the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra in Wynton Marsalis’s The Jungle. She has also participated in a Broadway-focused immersion program in New York City, where she learned directly from professional musicians working throughout the Broadway and commercial music industries.
Beyond performance, Molly has developed a strong interest in the business, administrative, and creative sides of the music industry. At the University of Michigan, she served as a Dean’s Liaison for Engagement & Outreach within SMTD, contributing to event planning, community engagement initiatives, budget and funding research, grant development, communications, and social media outreach. Her additional professional experience includes several years of work in technology-focused environments, helping her develop strong organizational, technical, and interpersonal skills.
Molly is especially interested in the intersection of music, audience development, arts administration, marketing, and creative strategy. With a background that combines performance, entrepreneurship, design, technology, and arts engagement, she hopes to build a career that allows her to remain closely connected to music while exploring the many ways artists, organizations, and audiences come together.
Outside of her professional work, Molly enjoys graphic design, exploring New York City, tennis, snowboarding, and finding new ways to combine her creative interests with her love of music.
Molly looks forward to furthering her career in New York City as she continues to grow as both a musician and arts professional. She is excited to pursue new opportunities within the music industry, build meaningful connections, and apply her diverse background in performance, administration, technology, and design to work that supports artists, organizations, and audiences.
